In 2009, the Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD), a think tank sponsored by the governments of 30 of the most powerful capitalist countries and dedicated to promoting free-market institutions, concluded that half the workers of the world -- close to 1.8 billion people -- were working in System D: off the books, in jobs that were neither registered nor regulated, getting paid in cash, and, most often, avoiding income taxes.

Since the dawn of Modernism and the Socialist Era, the western world has experienced a kind of cultural inflation. We have more money than ever, but less purchasing power. We have more laws than ever, but less justice. We have more music than ever, but less harmony. We have more books than ever, but less literature. We have more education than ever, but less common sense. We have more relationships than ever, but less love. More transparency than ever, but less trust.

Oracle Corporation has 61% of its employees based outside of "the Americas". And yet, the number of US-based employees at the company has gone down less than 1%.

If most of the employees are outside the US, just which country is "stealing the other country's jobs" ?!
