National political icon and conservative leader Sarah Palin has endorsed Dr. Rand Paul in his bid for United States Senate from Kentucky. The Paul campaign has received a generous donation from Governor Palin’s PAC. (Not sure what to think about this.)

Former Alaska GOP Gov. Sarah Palin said Wednesday night that law enforcement should not focus its energy on the “minimal problem” of marijuana.

Palin made the comment during an appearance on the Fox Business Network with Rep. Ron Paul (R-Texas).

Republican Senator John McCain yesterday urged the U.S. to launch military airstrikes against Syrian president Bashar Assad's regime to force him out of power. "If we stand on the sidelines, others will try to pick winners, and this will not always be to our liking or in our interest.", McCain said.

The 19th century American writer Henry Adams said the descent of American presidents from George Washington to Ulysses S. Grant was enough to discredit the theory of evolution. The same could be said of the pantheon of conservative political heroes, which in the last half-century has gone from Barry Goldwater and Ronald Reagan to Sarah Palin. That refutation may be agreeable to Palin, who doesn't put much stock in Darwin anyway.

According to a new poll, independent voters say they favor Sheen over Sarah Palin by a 41/36 margin. And it's not just independents who are supporting the tiger-blooded warlock. Democrats would support him by a 44-24 margin for president over Palin and Republicans would support him 37-28 over Obama. The conclusion from Public Policy Polling.com: People may not have any respect for Sheen but they still think he'd be a better alternative than their opposing party's leading figure.

Richard Mourdock has defeated longtime Sen. Richard G. Lugar of Indiana in the Republican primary, according to an Associated Press projection, ending the career of one of the Senate’s most pragmatic politicians and casting a cloud over GOP efforts to win control of the chamber. Mourdock, state treasurer in Indiana, campaigned as a conservative alternative to Lugar. He became a darling of the tea party movement after he began a legal challenge to the terms of the Obama administration’s bailout of Chrysler. Mourdock was endorsed by Sarah Palin and Rep.

Glenn beck says:

a) He's a Libertarian
b) That he's changed significantly over the past 6 years.
c) Is much more a Ron Paul libertarian than Sarah Palin.
d) Would like to see all troops removed from overseas.
e) Would like to see an attempt at private national defense.

At least... that's what I got out it. :)

I'm not sure how to find the videos and pictures now, but I recall seeing in-uniform military members on the stage with John McCain in 2007 and various military members peppering political news coverage since, endorsing various candidates other than Ron Paul.
