Give the man his marijuana. That was the gist of a simple order Tacoma Municipal Court Judge Jack Emery gave to Tacoma police two months ago. Police refused. Thursday, Emery repeated himself with emphasis: Police have seven days to comply with his Feb. 28 order and return the pot to Tacoma resident Joseph L. Robertson, or face a possible order of contempt. “Appeal or comply,” Emery told assistant city attorney John Walker. “Or next week, show up, and I would advise you to bring counsel.”

TACOMA, Wash. — KIRO TV’s investigative unit has discovered Tacoma police used force to arrest and handcuff an innocent deaf woman after she called 911 for their help. Instead of an apology, she ended up bloody and in jail for nearly three days without an interpreter before a prosecutor declined to press charges.

And the stupidity continues with stupid decisions like this going on. Who knew a plant wasn't a plant. It grows in the ground, requires sunshine and water to blossom and earns California growers an estimated $17 billion a year. But don't call cannabis an agricultural crop in Tulare County.

A 7-foot tall marijuana plant grew in plain sight on a busy street all summer long until police finally figured it out and destroyed it.

"'I don't know if somebody was watering this thing every day or what was going on, but it was a nice-looking marijuana plant,' [the Orem cop] says.

"He doesn't think it got to be 7 feet tall because people were intentionally turning a blind eye to the pot in their midst."

It's a plant that might just be the cure to substance abuse, and even though there are entire clinics built around it in Canada, here in the U.S. it remains both illegal and ignored.

THOUSANDS of students in an east China city are being forced to work at a Foxconn plant after classes were suspended at the beginning of the new semester, it has been revealed.
