Lakeland police Officer Tyler Anderson saw him in the community near Florida Southern College and stopped him. After asking Stoiber what he was doing, Anderson asked to pat him down. Stoiber said no. Seeing a bulge in Stoiber's pocket, Anderson began patting him down anyway. During the search, Stoiber, who had been chewing tobacco, spit the accumulated saliva on the grass or sidewalk. That's been against the law in Lakeland since 1944.

Apparently facing mounting financial woes, Hancock County Sheriff Calvin K. "Bud" Gray siphoned more than $3,000 in public funds into his own accounts, according to authorities who arrested the sheriff Friday at a Shelby County casino.

A central Florida elementary school principal has been arrested on drug charges after a sting operation, authorities said Saturday. David Groover, 43, was arrested Friday after deputies searched his St. Cloud, Florida home, uncovering methamphetamine, marijuana, GHB and drug paraphernalia, according to an Osceola County Sheriff's office statement.

Fifteen (15) middle school girls are arrested for watching a fight between two other classmates. One mother claims in the article that the school officials nor law enforcement official would reveal where her daughter (who was allegedly one of the 15 girls) was being detained.

The university said they are offering amnesty to underage drinkers who get sick or are hurt. Underage drinkers or their friends can call police without fear of being punished.
