Media accounts state that Mr. Manning was arrested in late May for leaking the video of US Apache helicopter pilots killing innocent people and seriously wounding two children in Baghdad, including those who arrived to help the wounded, as well as potentially other material. The video was released by WikiLeaks under the name "Collateral Murder".

Two soldiers from Bravo Company 2-16, the company depicted in the video, have written an open letter of apology to the Iraqis who were injured or lost loved ones during the attack that, these former soldiers say, is a regular occurrence in this war.

A US soldier details his account of the now infamous 'Collateral Murder' event:

"When i told him my feelings and how I was unable to deal properly with what I had just witnessed his response was 'You need to suck that shit up, quit being a pussy, and get the sand out of your vagina. If you go to mental health there will be repercussions, like being charged with malingering.'"

This year saw the birth of a new, private bus company in Detroit, and it’s called the Detroit Bus Company. The owner and founder, 25-year-old Andy Didorosi, was a guest on Mitch Albom’s show today, where he stated that his company is “trying to change what people think about buses.” In other words, his company does not tool around the city in monstrous, shabby, dirty, disgusting cages on wheels that are driven by 400-pound, sedentary maniacs who have nothing to lose, especially their union-protected, government job.

I served in the same company in Iraq with this guy. He's a hot head but did not deserve to be drawn down on and shot point blank in the chest by a cop. I've been listening to freetalklive for over a year now and while I can not vouch for the content of my friends words, I can defintely say he didn't threaten the cop, just antagonized him to the point of a shot to the chest.
