In London and Cornwall, a pilot program has just been launched that combines all the fun of terrestrial speed cameras with the creepy omniscience of GPS. In a nutshell, the program -- called "SpeedSpike" -- uses positioning satellites to track motorists as they travel between traffic cameras. By calculating the time it takes a driver to move from one point to the other, SpeedSpike can determine whether or not the motorist has been speeding.

This guy records people having sex without their consent, sells the footage, and is proud of himself! He says it gives him a "rush" & he has been doing it for 15 years. Yet he hates prostitutes & addicts... irony

LONDON – The poster campaign advertising the DVD release of FINAL DESTINATION 5 has been banned by the Advertising Standards Authority. A version of the campaign that ran earlier this year ahead of the film's theatrical release received 13 complaints that the poster was distressing to children.

Well, the cops were sad that they didn't get their way recently. After attempting to extort money from some of the bartenders at Shenanigan's, and failing (see http://www.freetalklive.com/content/judge_barnak_under_fire_mpd_throwing...), the cops cried and another state agency imposed "restrictions" on the bar. Well, way to punish a business for being good at what they do. My take: the reason that there are problems at the bar is because it's the only decent place to go in this town.

Anyone else find this government encouraged social engineering creepy?
