Phoenix Suns owner Robert Sarver, a harsh critic of a new Arizona immigration law, will have his team wear the Latino-supporting version of its jersey in the NBA playoffs.

PHOENIX—The Arizona Diamondbacks organization apologized to fans, their families, and the community at large Thursday after more than 16,000 people attending the previous night's game were killed by the poisonous Western diamondback rattlesnakes given out as part of Complimentary Rattlesnake Night.

The FBI arrested Antonio Martinez, a 21-year-old Muslim convert, Wednesday and charged him with plotting to blow up a military recruitment center. There are two things about this case that make it particularly interesting to counterterrorism officials. The first is that Martinez appears to have been radicalized in the U.S. The second is that he is Latino. Latino converts to radical Islam have been connected to terrorism cases in this country with increasing frequency — and officials are trying to understand why.

"Country" is from "Terra Contrata" meaning a spread of land. It is a non-political term concerning the land, its people and their customs. "Nation" comes from "Natus" meaning that which is born and is the dominant racial subtext of a country's politics. "State" comes from "status" meaning condition/standing and is the political machinery of the Nation. A "Country" is a friend of liberty while the "Nation" and "State" are its enemy.

"Never believe anything until it is officially denied," is a useful saying, advising skepticism towards whatever the government claims to be doing. This is the right mental attitude for any observer of the political scene. But for sniffing out official or journalistic mendacity, evasion and ignorance, a good guide is the use of tired and misleading words or phrases.

Caddo Parish District 3 Commissioner Michael Williams said after seeing a group of young men at a local Walmart wearing pajama pants that revealed one young man's private parts, he decided to push for an ordinance that would prohibit wearing pajama pants in public. "Pajamas are designed to be worn in the bedroom at night," Williams said. "If you can't (wear pajamas) at the Boardwalk or courthouse, why are you going to do it in a restaurant or in public?
