Harry Browne's "fail safe" investment strategies are once again being recognized for their superior performance. It would do a lot of good for the new generation just now finding liberty to become acquainted with these techniques. They have served us libertarians well for the last 35 years.

It is undeniable that themes of death and resurrection abound in the stories, as well as detailed depictions of potions and other hocus pocus. That is another problem with banning books: it obscures the diversity of viewpoints within its potential readership.

Yes, you read that right — the latest casualty of our War on Drugs is a grandmother who never even touched the drugs that sent her to prison. Though she may not look like public enemy No. 1, our persistently illogical criminal justice system has determined that this harsh punishment fits her crime. The truth, though, is that her fate was sealed, in large part because she didn't have a card to play when negotiating her sentence.

Julian Heicklen of FIJA and jury nullification was mentioned on the NBC drama/comedy Harry's Law (season 2, episode 1) about 75% through. It's a pretty mainstream show by the producers of Boston Legal. I've put links to download the show below if anyone is interested.
