Retired Police Officer Reportedly Told to Remove Flag Honoring Victims of 9/11

A retired New York City police officer living in Florida has been ordered to take down his flag commemorating September 11 by his homeowners’ association, WPLG reports.

Richard Wentz, who helped victims out of the World Trade Center on Sept. 11, 2001, has been told he has just days to take down his flag or face possible legal action.

Wow, I couldn't believe it. These are colleagues of mine. I've met both and believe me these guys are very successful, clean-cut, family men. To think that a cop would see him as a threat and open fire is beyond crazy.

Wittman told Riches he drove to the pickup area. He said an officer told him to move. Wittman said he moved. However, Wittman said when he circled back around, he said the officer jumped in front of his car. Wittman told riches he dodged and passed the officer. Wittman said a bullet went through his back windshield and grazed his cheek.

He asked to pay something on his bill because he knew he wouldn't be able to afford it all before Christmas. Then a mysterious woman stepped up to the counter.

Two parents are facing drug charges after their 11-year-old child took their drugs to elementary school and told a school officer his parents were breaking the law.

Matthews Police say he reported his parents after a lesson about marijuana was delivered by a police officer who is part of the D.A.R.E. program, which teaches kids about the dangers of drugs, alcohol, and tobacco.

I was outside my residence late at night having a cigarette when a police officer decided to harass me for my I.D. He drove around the corner and saw me putting my cigarette out and throwing it in the dumpster. He got out of his squad car and asked me what I was doing. I said hi and told him my first name, then I explained that I live here in the apartment complex and that I usually stay up late and was just out having a smoke. He asked if I had ID and I told him I didn't have any on me because I don't take my wallet out with me when I'm home just to go have a smoke.

“Why were you in China?” asked the passport control officer, a woman with the appearance and disposition of a prison matron.

“None of your business,” I said.

Her eyes widened in disbelief.

“Excuse me?” she asked.

“I’m not going to be interrogated as a pre-condition of re-entering my own country,” I said.

This did not go over well.

Walter Stanley was in the middle of telling an ABC7 News crew about his public effort to exercise his legal right to openly carry an unloaded gun, when Livermore police came calling.

"Put your hands on your head for me please," Officer Fuller shouted to Stanley.

With that, Stanley raised his hands to his head and faced a wall while Fuller and another officer examined the 9mm pistol he had holstered at his side. Down the block, a third Livermore officer with rifle drawn, served as backup while a fourth drove by in a cruiser.

"It was very commonplace, very," said Pythias Brown, a former TSA officer at Newark Liberty International Airport in New Jersey who admits he stole more than $800,000 worth of items from luggage and security checkpoints over a four-year period. "It was very convenient to steal," he said. Assigned to screen luggage behind the ticket counters, Brown said he often worked alone, was told when overhead surveillance cameras to prevent theft were not working, and was never asked about suspicious behavior.
