John Cochran, the president of Fiji Water, announced today that the company will be pulling its operations off of the island of Fiji if the government doesn't resolve a recent tax dispute. Cochran's main gripe is that the tax will be increased from one-third of a cent per liter to 15 cents and will be focused only at companies that produce more than 3.5 million liters per month. In other words, it only targets Fiji Water.

Federal officials have given energy and mining companies permission to pollute aquifers in more than 1,500 places across the country, releasing toxic material into underground reservoirs that help supply more than half of the nation's drinking water.

Now "officials" are backtracking to avoid trouble.

Senator in TN is sending letters to water plants in his state requesting they stop putting fluoride in public water. He is against fluoride in water for many reasons but notably, because it is medicating people without their consent. It is always refreshing to see someone take issue with that aspect. The ADA is now telling parents NOT to make baby formula using fluoridated water. Just incredible that we are supposed to blindly trust the whims of government and their regulations.
