"With the G2O meeting in Toronto this weekend , 26-27 June, the police have tightened security to what can only be described as a full on police state.

Its reported that the cost for hosting the meeting is in the region of $1 billion dollars - just what the world needs in the middle of a financial crisis. How ironic that top of the agenda is, you guessed it, the financial crisis. Is there no end to this madness?

20-year-old Courtney Winkels, a social worker from outside Toronto, blows bubbles near a line of police during the G20 summit of world leaders. Const. Adam Josephs, better known as 'Officer Bubbles,' appears on the scene to inform Winkels that "if the bubble touches me, you're going to be arrested for assault." Winkels puts the bubbles away while continuing to receive arrest threats from the officer. Moments later, Winkels is arrested.

A man arrested at a July 4 house party is charged with a count of wiretapping, alleging he used his cell phone to film the police response. Police confirmed Tuesday that Adam H. Whitman, 20, of New Castle, was arrested on that charge. However, the charge is likely to be dismissed and/or replaced with another charge, possibly disorderly conduct or obstructing government administration. Whitman was "impaired by alcohol" when he was arrested and, when the case was later reviewed, wiretapping didn't seem to be "a viable charge."

Police arrested Miller after they say he masturbated and asked an undercover officer to touch his genitals in the men's bathroom at Claypool Court, 110 W. Washington St., at about 1:30 p.m., according to police records.

On June 8th, 2011, five volunteers with the organization "Food Not Bombs" were arrested for the horrendous crime of sharing food with too many people within 2 miles of City Hall. As individuals, the police were professional and it was clear from their body language that they did not want to be there doing this. However, they do have proverbial mortgage to pay and on this day they did make the choice to be agents of tyranny. This brings the total number of people arrested for feeding the homeless up to 12 within the first week of the law's enforcement.
