A longtime Colorado judge has been fired after issuing an arrest warrant for a teenager over an overdue library DVD.

Municipal Judge James Kimmel issued the warrant after 19-year-old Aaron Henson failed to show up in court Jan. 14 over the overdue DVD, "House of Flying Daggers." On Jan. 25, police stoped the teen for speeding and held him for nearly eight hours after discovering the warrant.

A man travels from Oregon to Baltimore and takes video of the entire trip. When he gets to Baltimore he is detained for photography.

A court paperwork oversight resulted in an erroneous warrant being issued for Cynthia Stanley's arrest. Her crime, sending a check into the Court which was accepted and entered by Court personnel on the day Cynthia's fine was due. Warrant was issued by the Court and served by two Amesbury police officers on the same day the fines were due/paid. Woman had to sit in jail for 4 hours.

On March 31 he was headed home, on foot as usual, on the far left of South Road. A car came in his direction, which he judged was going too fast and not as far into the middle of the road as he would have liked. As the car approached, Dr. Walsh waved his arms "as I usually do just to make sure the driver can detect motion and see me more clearly." He said the driver saw him but still came within 18 inches of him.

L. Neil Smith reports that US Marshals and domain registrar GoDaddy leaned on him to remove an article from his Libertarian Enterprise website. Why? GoDaddy said in an email that the article “will need to be immediately removed from the website [ncc-1776.org] for the safety of the Federal Judges and their families.” A full 6 months ago, Smith published the offending article by writer Jim Davidson about the three judges in U.S. v. Pineda-Moreno who voted to allow feds to secretly put GPS trackers on private individuals’ cars without a warrant.

Rand Paul Detained By TSA!
On his way to speak at the national Right To Life March in DC Rand Paul has been detained by TSA. This is all I have so far from Rand Paul's Facebook page. "Senator Paul is being detained at Nashville Airport by the TSA. We will update you as the situation develops."

A Cook County judge today ruled that a Chicago police officer accused of drunk driving in a fatal crash on Thanksgiving 2007 was arrested and detained without probable cause.

Judge Thomas V. Gainer Jr. also called the police lieutenant who ordered Officer John Ardelean's arrest not a credible witness.

"Probable cause to arrest in this case comes down to the credibility of Lt. (John) Magruder and this court does not believe Lt. Magruder's testimony," Gainer wrote in his opinion.

"They had helicopters. They had people all over here, you couldn't walk the streets. They got people detained for four hours out there on the ground like we shot this police officer."

This woman, a resident of the community that was searched, was especially angered that Bullard chose to identify his fake shooter as a black male. "That's not right. It's all they do around here. A black person. Everything that happens, a black person."

One time a toll taker told him, she wouldn't give him his change unless he gave her the information. Chandler replied, "So I'm being detained." He asked why he was being detained but never got an answer.Chandler says this is a serious criminal offense, to detain someone without proper legal authority. He says that is exactly what the department is doing.
