An Indianapolis police officer tested at more than twice the level at which a driver in Indiana is considered legally drunk when he crashed his squad car into two motorcycles Friday, according to a victim's relative.

The accident killed one rider and critically injured two others.

Mobile County Sheriff Sam Cochran revealed today that 19-year-old University of South Alabama freshman Gil Collar obtained and ingested LSD at BayFest Friday night before he returned to campus, stripped naked and assaulted people in passing cars. Minutes later, Collar was shot dead by a campus police officer, identified today as 27-year-old Travis Austin, a four-year veteran of the force.

When the Framingham police responded to a call just before 2 a.m. last month that a house had been egged, the culprits weren’t juveniles, but experienced, off-duty Newton police officers. Newton officials would not provide the names of the officers or specify how they were disciplined, saying it was a personnel matter.
However, two of the officers involved have been disciplined before and will receive harsher punishments.
The agency is also dealing separately with one off-duty officer who was drunk, he said.
