The government turned up the pressure Tuesday on the head of a small Florida church who plans to burn copies of the Quran on Sept. 11, warning him that doing so could endanger U.S. troops and Americans everywhere.

Thought it might be nice for some good news for a change. New York City is losing it's collective mind over a mosque at ground zero (it's actually 5 blocks away), while a church in Memphis has welcomed their Islamic neighbors and is even allowing them to use their church facilities for prayer during Ramadan while they wait for their new Islamic Center to be built.

A Muslim leader says he hopes American values prevail in a two-year battle between the Murfreesboro, Tennessee, Muslim community and people who don't want to see a new mosque built in the city. Judge Robert Corlew ruled Tuesday that plans to construct the mosque are null and void. Corlew said that by not giving people adequate notice for meetings on the proposal the county violated state law when it approved construction plans for the Islamic center. It is unclear whether or not Corlew's ruling means construction of the religious center must halt immediately.

(May 12) -- FBI officials in Jacksonville, Fla., say they have found the remnants of a pipe bomb used in a possible hate crime at a mosque during evening prayers.

Along with local police, the FBI launched an investigation after an explosion shook the Islamic Center of Northeast Florida at 9:35 p.m. Monday, when approximately 60 people were inside praying. No one was injured.

Organizer Abdul Kareem Muhammad said "It's standard mosque procedure not to let police authorities into the mosque with their weapons or their badges."

Muhammad said the logistical snafu hasn't affected the committee's desire to keep an open line of communication with the NYPD about their mission to stop police abuse.

According to “Opt Out and Film week” organizers, the protest starts November 26 to send a message to the TSA about the violation of the right to privacy. The TSA signaled today that they are aware of the protest, and may be prohibited from filming in their location.

CRYSTAL SPRINGS, MS (WLBT) - It was to be their big day, but a Jackson couple says the church where they were planning to wed turned them away because of their race. They had set the date and printed and mailed out all the invitations, but the day before wedding bells were to ring for Charles and Te'Andrea Wilson, they say they got some bad news from the pastor. "The church congregation had decided no black could be married at that church, and that if he went on to marry her, then they would vote him out the church," said Charles Wilson.
