Torture is as far off the path to the golden rule as you can get, yet the District of Columbia government endorses it's use. If you support torture, don't worry, someday you will break some random law they create, and you will be in the torture chair. This is a clip from the 90's movie, "The Siege", a time before torture was accepted by the people of this country.

The Supreme Court has refused to hear any new Guantánamo appeals even though half of the men being held were cleared for release five years ago. Critics of Monday’s decision say it leaves the fate of prisoners — many of them long cleared for release — in the hands of a conservative D.C. Circuit Court of Appeals, which has constantly sided with military prosecutors and refused to order the release of any prisoner. The high court also refused to reinstate a lawsuit by former "enemy combatant" José Padilla against former Secretary of Defense Donald Rumsfeld.

Last Saturday the weekly demonstrations for and against the wars in West Chester, PA were joined by some special visitors. One was an activist I only know as Barbara advocating the closure of the Guantanamo Bay Detention Camp in Cuba.
The other visitor was local conservative talk show host, and advocate of torture, Dom Giordano. He engages Barbara in a lively debate on the subject of torture and Guantanamo.

The United States Court Of Appeals 9th circuit has legalized the CIA abduction, overseas detention, and torture of innocent American citizens.
