Just like the September 11th of nine years ago this year’s was also a perfect late Summer day in West Chester, Pennsylvania. On this sad anniversary of the horrible terrorist attacks I had the pleasure of joining the weekly peace vigil held by United for Peace & Justice.

The DECLARE PEACE FAIR was held at Independence Visitors Center lawn area 6th & Market Streets, Phila., PA on Saturday, July 2 from 1 p.m.–3:30 p.m.

Focus on Peace had a table at the event. As usual the participants were overwhelmingly on the left. Peace advocates that aren't so inclined need to come out and take part in such actions.

The wars abroad are less popular than ever. Now is the time to give people that are not on the left in their thinking a place to go to engage in activism for peace. Hopefully, Focus on Peace will fulfill that vital role.

The Brandywine Peace Community held a protest on November 27, 2010 at the defense contractor, Lockheed Martin, property in King of Prussia, PA, outside of Philadelphia. About ten protesters attended.

This libertarian had some good conversations with the other protesters who were of varying left wing ideologies. They were quite open to the idea of working with libertarians and anti-war conservatives for peace.

"They said we could wear it [American flag t shirts] on any other day," Daniel Galli said, "but today is sensitive to Mexican-Americans because it's supposed to be their holiday so we were not allowed to wear it today."

In the land of the free and the home of the brave we introduce our kids to nationalism at a young age... because they are easier to brainwash! A bunch of "young marines" retire a flag in a solemn ceremony and read patriotic flag poetry in full marine fatigues. Can we say Hitler Youth??

British bloggers rally around jailed anti-smoking-ban activist Nick Hogan. Imprisoned for six months, pending a £10,000 fine, for simply holding a "smoke-in" at his pub, the UK libertarian community has quickly been raising the funds so he can be released.

Parents and autism advocacy groups are expected to gather in Trenton today to rally behind a bill that would give adults a choice of what vaccines their children would receive.

King of Prussia, PA – Focus on Peace held its first action the "Sign Wave for Peace on the Anniversary of the Invasion of Iraq" on Saturday, March 19, 2011. It was a success with five peace lovers coming out to mark the 8th anniversary of the invasion of Iraq. We stood on a very busy street corner in King of Prussia, PA. Our message seemed well received there compared to other places I've done this kind of peace advocacy at. There were many "honks for peace" and few insults.
