As Manhattan-dwellers know, there's been a debate brewing for some time now over the cycle lanes, and the police who ticket cyclists, so Neistat's video set out to show the world just how difficult it can be sticking to the rules.

Some of you may have seen that video of the NYPD arresting a man for heckling a cyclist as he got a ticket and decided to meekly keep your mouth shut when witnessing police action. Not Barbara Ross, a Time's Up! volunteer and self-professed "frequent user and fan of 2nd and 1st avenue downtown bike lane." Here's video she took last night of an NYPD officer writing a cyclist a ticket for running red light on Second Avenue near Fifth Street.

A guy in NYC filmed himself getting a $50 ticket for not riding his bike in the bike lane. The cop doesn't even get out of the car in the rain, dodges all his questions, and refuses to acknowledge that SOMETIMES, in the ridiculously busy streets of NYC, the bike lane is not necessarily the safest place to be riding your bicycle. The video humorously shows all the ridiculous things obstructing some of the bike lanes, including a cop car.
