At the San Diego International Airport yesterday, about one-fifth of the travelers were selected for sexual assault by transportation security agents. Though TSA’s website did not list SAN as one of the airports employing the carcinogenic naked scan or a full body rub down, one man was told his refusal to submit would result in a civil law suit and a $10,000 fine. Under 49 CFR Sec.s 1540.105 and 1540.107, as summarized in these 2004 TSA Sanction Guidelines, apparently TSA has Congressional support to fine people for refusing to submit to molestation.

"Full body scanners and enhanced pat downs in private rooms are fueling anger among air travelers in the US. The Transportation Security Administration (TSA) is coming in for severe criticism while passengers are planning a boycott of the scans on Nov. 24 - traditionally the busiest travel day of the year."

Liberty activists are organizing National Opt Out Day for Wednesday, November 24, asking all travelers to opt out of the body scanner and undergo the pat down in full public view, so that others in line can see how invasive it is.

Here’s where it gets interesting.

In addition to the unusually high volume of travel for the Thanksgiving Holiday, some 12,000 American Muslims are expected to be returning from Mecca anywhere between the 20th and 28th. On a bell curve, the bulk of them will be arriving on the 24th.

A perfect Storm.

The government should not have the ability to virtually strip search anyone it wants. The problem is compounded in that if you do not want to go through the naked body scanner, the government has made the alternative perhaps worse! In an effort to try and make everyone comply with the scanners, the government has instituted "enhanced" pat downs. Travelers across the country have reported the TSA now touches the genitals and private areas of men, women and children in a much more aggressive manner.

US national security agencies are promising they will be making themselves a permanent presence for bus travelers.

Michael Roberts, a pilot for ExpressJet Airlines, who refused to submit to a full-body scan or the alternative pat down going through airport security said the procedures violate his rights. Roberts says he has safety concerns, but called TSA a "make-work" program that doesn't make travel safer.

Air passengers who refuse a full body scan to be barred from their flights - this is ridiculous and scary. Thanks to the writers of the article for at least dropping the word "controversial" instead of just saying "secure" or something.

Awww. TSA agents feelings hurt when travelers express their discontent about being groped.

Undocumented travelers are now hijacked while going south instead of just north. The kidnapping and imprisonment of non bureaucratic compliant travelers headed north was bad enough but now the border JBTs are abducting people in to the forced customs system while trying to return south just to put more victims in to the forced relocation and ethnic cleansing programs and have paperwork on them which will prevent them from being allowed back in the future.
