To Alex Jones, the world is a very dark place.
"Good old Uncle Sam will stage attacks ... that's how they keep the slaves in line," the libertarian radio host says during a rant on his show. "We have to wake up and face the fact that we have a criminal government."
The original Volume 2 Article 6, Walter Block's "Reply to Prychitko on Austrian Dogmatism" that has since been removed from the Libertarian Papers web site. This is the article that the Mises Institute apparently doesn't want you to see.
An article from the nation that describes the activism that is pointed against the TSA as a hit piece from libertarian leaning political action groups, such as FreedomWorks and the Koch brothers. Discussed in this article is John Tyner's TSA incident, Meg McLain's incident as well as her involvement with Liberty on Tour, as well as Free Keene. I especially like the description of Keene, New Hampshire as a "libertarian quasi-commune"
A 7-year-old boy has been accused of sexual harassment after punching a fellow first-grader in the groin, but the boy's mother says he was acting in self-defense. Tasha Lynch said her son was being choked on a school bus, and has been afraid to go back to school in South Boston ever since. “I think my kid was right to fight back [after he was choked],’’ she said. “He wasn’t doing anything except protecting himself.’’ A spokesman for the Boston public schools confirmed the incident had been classified as possible sexual harassment, but declined to comment it.
CLEARWATER, Fla. - The new law that requires proof of citizenship to get or renew your driver's license is an inconvenience to some of us, but one man in Pinellas County says it's a violation of his rights.
Adrian Wyllie, radio talk show host and chairman of the Libertarian Party of Florida refuses to provide the paperwork necessary to renew his expired license. He also refuses to stop driving.
"I believe I am in the position of right and the state needs to be correcte,d" said Wyllie.
When 17-year-old New York City resident Alvin faced repeated harassment from Police, he took matters into his own hands. He secretly recorded his encounter with two police officers...
Alvin asks the officers, who threatened violence if he didn’t stop asking questions, “What am I getting arrested for?” One of the officers harshly responds: “For being a f*ck#$%g mutt! You know that!?”
A dog becomes sick after ingesting an unknown substance, which is later found and determined to contain THC. The article claims it was a "clump of marijuana discarded from a drug processing operation".
L. Neil Smith reports that US Marshals and domain registrar GoDaddy leaned on him to remove an article from his Libertarian Enterprise website. Why? GoDaddy said in an email that the article “will need to be immediately removed from the website [ncc-1776.org] for the safety of the Federal Judges and their families.” A full 6 months ago, Smith published the offending article by writer Jim Davidson about the three judges in U.S. v. Pineda-Moreno who voted to allow feds to secretly put GPS trackers on private individuals’ cars without a warrant.
An article in the Libertarian Party of Florida's online newsletter, entitled "The Libertarian Problem with Anarchy", by Tom Rhodes. I find this pretty sad... back when I was involved with the LP in the 90s, it was largely a group of anarchists/voluntarists who hadn't yet completely given up on inside-the-system activism. I guess the LP really is dead, huh?
