The real-life superhero named Phoenix Jones was cuffed and taken in to the police station for pepper spraying civilians. He claims he was trying to break-up a street brawl; and wonders why the police didn't seem interested in investigating an alleged hit-and-run that occurred mere feet away.

Phoenix Jones aka Benjamin Fodor aka mixed-martial arts fighter "Flatttop" arrested early Sunday for assault. The City Attorney's Office is reviewing the case. Police say Fodor, 23, used pepper spray on a group of men and women early Sunday near the Alaskan Way Viaduct. The incident was caught on video. A spokesman for Phoenix Jones, said it appears the officer who arrested Jones had an agenda, and that when Jones said he was assaulted the officer laughed at him. He also said police have refused to take statements two people who were following Jones.

The self-styled super hero ran in to break up a fight between a small group and a large group. He used pepper spray to fend off the fighters after he was attacked. He's been charged with four counts of assault.

The City of Seattle will pay $1.5 million to the heirs and estate of John T. Williams, a Seattle woodcarver shot dead by a Seattle Police in August 2010. It was an emotionally-charged police shooting that say a law enforcement office quit and avoid prosecution. The review commission found the shooting "unjustified," reports the Sun.

This time, the city is suing an attorney who wanted dash-cam videos connected to alleged police misconduct.

Seattle police were caught on dash cam telling a pair of innocent robbery suspects that they would "make stuff up" to ensure the charges would stick, even though there was a complete lack of actual evidence.

That incident is just small sample of what KOMO-TV plans to eventually release after a lengthy investigation compiled from dash cam videos of its local police force, which always seems one of the most corrupted in the country.
