Actually, yes. Especially when the rule or law intended to make us safe is so poorly thought-out that it either does nothing but suck up public money, or creates a ripple effect of unintended side effects.

There's been some confusion on the show as to what the Venus project is. This video gives a good description of it. The Venus project is not a proposal for a political system of government, but a socioeconomic system. The Venus project, similar to the Free State project, is completely voluntary and its primary object, beyond developing its ideas, is spreading its message to persuade people to join it.

We need to develop a platform that links local mesh networks together, through knowledge sharing and a free decentralized market. Without it we may not be able to build momentum in today's mass society.

Bottom line: The world is going to be turned over by bitcoins unless governments step in and ban them by prosecuting individuals.

The U.S. Supreme Court struck down Monday key parts of an Arizona law that sought to deter illegal immigration, but let stand a controversial provision that lets police check a person's immigration status while enforcing other laws. In a decision sure to ripple across the political landscape in a presidential election year, the court's 5-3 ruling upheld the authority of the federal government to set immigration policy and laws. "The national government has significant power to regulate immigration," Justice Anthony Kennedy wrote in the majority opinion.

The Fronline Faith Project sends mp3 players to the U.S. troops in the war. The mp3 players have Catholic Mass, homilies, ect, al. Many of the troops can not get to a priest or attend mass (because they are killing people but that is beside the point). I support that because I'm Catholic and this has nothing to do with the government.

What I would love to see is a project to send mp3 players with FTL to the troops.
