Orlando Liberty Activists are still stirring the pot around town with many of them doing near daily FIJA outreach events at the county and federal courthouses. The biggest impact has been made at the county... "You guys are idiots", "You're making it impossible to pick a jury", "Hey, can I get one of those? They're dismissing everyone who has one" are all common phrases heard.
Read more »Perhaps the most noteworthy G20 Toronto story that got attention was the story of "Officer Bubbles," the name given to a police officer, named Adam Josephs, who threatened to arrest a woman for assault if the bubbles she was blowing landed on him.
Officer Bubbles became a bit of an internet phenomenon, and others built on it, as normally happens in internet memes. Apparently, one person made cartoon versions of Officer Bubble arresting various famous people, such as President Obama and Santa Claus. Because of that, Officer Adam Josephs has now filed a $1.2 million defamation lawsuit.
Drug addicts across the UK are being offered money to be sterilised by an American charity.
Project Prevention is offering to pay £200 to any drug user in London, Glasgow, Bristol, Leicester and parts of Wales who agrees to be operated on.
The first person in the UK to accept the cash is drug addict "John" from Leicester who says he "should never be a father".

Read more »I've been trying to keep my politics under wraps at work because the paper where I work is quite leftist, but they found out last week just as we were getting ready to do our election endorsements. People were shocked at first, but now they are cool with it. Today they even asked me to do a blog post on what I believe and how I disagree with what we endorsed.

The man was a passenger in a car driven by his girlfriend, who was stopped for making an illegal turn. After obtaining the girlfriend's (driver) identification, the police officer questioned the passenger as to his identity. The man refused to comply. He was then arrested, and later convicted at a bench trial, of Refusal to Identify Self, a Class C misdemeanor.

The Diagnostic and Statistical Manual defines “oppositional defiant disorder” (ODD) as “an ongoing pattern of disobedient, hostile and defiant behavior toward authority figures.” ODD can evolve into “conduct disorder” (CD), which DSM defines as “wherein the rights of others or social norms are violated.”

The airwaves, the internet, and what’s left of the print media are saturated with political ads. All of this leads many Americans to wonder who they’re going to vote for. Hackers from the Chaos Computer Club lifted a fingerprint from the Interior Minister, printed it on plastic, and distributed it by the thousands with their magazine for anyone who wants to impersonate the Minister at a biometric checkpoint.

Read more »On September 8, Gregory Koger was sentenced to 300 days in jail for videotaping a brief political statement at a public event in Skokie, IL. When Gregory was asked to stop, he put down his video camera. Trespass charges were brought because he started filming with his iPhone. But videotaping is not a crime! Filming has nothing to do with the legal definition of trespass. The trespass law states that you must be ordered to leave, and then show that you intend to remain after you have been given notice to leave.
This is EXACTLY what they did to me (Sam Dodson) as well.
