On Monday, 4 June 2012, I was sitting on my porch, alternating between reading about information theory and Ursula K. le Guinn’s “The Dispossessed”, when the police showed up. It turned out that Darryl had called them on me; he would later admit to being a serial informant. In the search of the premises that followed, the police confiscated 3.2 ounces of cannabis and paraphernalia.

“I would like to be able to know that my home, no matter what happens to my income or my life, is not going to be taken away from me because I can’t pay a tax,” said Susan Beehler, one in a group of North Dakotans who have pressed for an amendment to the state’s Constitution to end the property tax. It takes a unique brand of obtuse State worship to put someone who got their start in the peace movement, who is a passionate opponent of the unconstitutional War On Drugs (not exactly staples of the right wing agenda) on same list with Muslim bashing, mouth frothing, war ecstatics like Pam Geller, and Frank Gaffney.

Twenty-three years ago the Chinese People's Liberation Army violently cleared Beijing's Tiananmen Square of protesters. The demonstration called for democracy and widespread political reform. The protests began in April of 1989, gaining support as initial government reactions included concessions. Martial law was declared on May 20, troops were mobilized and pushed into Tiananmen Square, crushing some protesters and firing on many others. The exact number killed may never be known, but estimates range from several hundred to several thousand.

A group of Shreveport police officers manhandling a Ron Paul supporter at the Republican State Convention in Louisiana...he falls down and demands medical assistance. A bit later he demands to file charges, but no one is eager to take the report... Witnesses heard his hip dislocate. An officer walks up to the videographer at around 5:50 and demands his camera as “evidence.” The videographer refused to give it up, but turned the camera off.

Ron Paul Storms To Victory In Minnesota Delegate Race

Supporters take full control of GOP in North Star State

Presidential candidate Ron Paul swept the board at the Minnesota State convention this past weekend, winning 12 of the 13 delegates to the Republican National Convention and effectively taking complete control of the party in the state.

Congressman Paul would have won all of the open delegate slots, for the fact that the 13th went to former presidential candidate and U.S. Rep. Michele Bachmann, only after a Paul supporter withdrew his name from the ballot.

According to the Okaloosa County Sheriff's report, a deputy spotted the man walking in the middle of Tilden Avenue, which is known to be a high-crime area.

When the deputy stopped the man and asked for his identification, the man replied, "(Expletive) you, that's for you to figure out."
