Local cop steals money from Hispanic citizens during arrests. In a rare case, the Police Chief actually calls in FBI to investigate the cop, and now he went before a federal grand jury which found enough evidence for a case.

Sometimes the NYPD's inanity is so perfect, so immaculately risible, that you just want to burst into applause and toss a bouquet of roses onto the hood of a squad car. Today is one of those days. According to a tipster, a cop parked in the bike lane on First Avenue near 23rd Street proceeded to write tickets for cyclists who weren't using the bike lane, because they had to ride around him to get by.

This is nothing new, of course. Scumbag cops. Same story time and time again, but I'm sharing this because of a few lines written in here. The chief doesn't even try to sugar coat his meaning. Here, this sums it all up....

A former Pleasant Hill police officer who stole methamphetamine from an evidence room and crashed his squad car was sentenced Friday to probation.

Former Sgt. Daniel Hebert Edwards, 42, pleaded guilty in August of possession of a controlled substance, operating while intoxicated, and third-degree burglary. On Friday, he received one year of probation for the drug-possession charge, one year for operating while intoxicated, and three years for burglary.

On August 30, Seattle Police Ofc. Ian Burk murdered John T. Williams for holding a legally-sized whittling knife. Williams was a half-deaf Native American woodcarver who was also wearing headphones at the time. Birk claimed Williams refused to drop the legally-sized knife and approached him, but just-released autopsy results show Williams was in fact walking away from his executioner at the time he was shot. Police video of the incident still has not been released.

A Harford County Circuit Court judge Monday dismissed wiretapping charges against Anthony Graber, a motorcyclist who was jailed briefly after he taped a Maryland state trooper who stopped him for speeding on I-95. Graber used a camera mounted on his helmet, then posted the video on YouTube.

A Florida Highway Patrol trooper is being suspended for firing his gun nine times at a man suspected of stealing two sandwiches from a Tampa Bay-area gas station.

None of the bullets struck Magdi Kanaan in the shooting in Palm Harbor last October. Trooper Timothy Nichols began his one-week suspension without pay Friday after an internal investigation ruled that he used unnecessary force.

Former Illinois State trooper Matt Mitchell is asking the state to compensate him for injuries from a crash in which he hit and killed two Collinsville sisters at triple-digit speeds.

Mitchell filed a worker's compensation case on Sept. 13 against the Illinois State Police. The case is pending.
