Billboard Equates Obama's Policies with Holmes' Killing Spree

http://www.kboi2.com

The equates the actions of the president's foreign policies to the acts of Holmes, who's suspected of killing 12 people in the theater shooting.

Also features a nice tagline "Making Statism Unpopular"

The group that owns the board, The Ralph Smeed Foundation, says it wants to draw attention to military men and women dying overseas.

"(It's) way over the line, and I am not an Obama supporter," Said someone claiming not to be an Obama supporter...

Domino’s Fined by 'Orwell Olympics' for Five Pizzas on a Table

http://www.thepoke.co.uk

...a brand enforcer for the Olympic Deliverance Committee was on the top deck of a bus when he spotted the illegally arranged pizzas. “Under the Olympic Symbol Protection Act 1995 we have fined Dominoes for attempting to suggest a link between their business and the games by leaving out a number of pizzas on a counter that had a striking similarity to the Olympic rings logo.” Dominos denies the charges, and claim the pizzas were merely ‘waiting to be put in boxes’ a few moments before delivery.

17-Year-Old Sexual Assault Victim, Faces Charge For Naming Attackers

http://www.huffingtonpost.com

This woman (I refuse to call someone a 'girl' at 17) being charged with contempt in court for letting people know who harmed her is horrifying.

Not only is her freedom of speech being unreasonably violated to protect the privacy of her attackers, but she is also having the threat of 180 days in jail along with a 500$ fine hanging over her head. This is the perfect example of how much justice the system offers people who have been victimized.

Obama Administration Sued Over Assassinating US Citizens

http://news.antiwar.com

The American Civil Liberties Union failed in late-2010 to push a lawsuit challenging the Obama Administration’s claimed power to assassinate American citizens without charging them with any crimes, but is hoping for a consolation prize today, filing another suit challenging the killings after the fact. “It’s an effort to get accountability,” noted ACLU deputy director Jameel Jaffer, saying that even though the Justice Department successfully argued that the killings couldn’t be challenged beforehand, they could now press the administration to “explain to a court why it did what it did.”

Police officers all testified that he appeared several years younger than 18. He was arrested "only" after he repeatedly refused to provide identification showing he was of legal age to be carrying a weapon.

Taser Torture Kills Unarmed Epileptic Artist

http://ivn.us

Taser deaths by police in Vermont and elsewhere clearly show that it is time for a moratorium on what the UN calls a “torture weapon.”

On the evening of June 20th in Thetford VT, Macadam Mason was just another all-but-anonymous 39-year-old artist, an alcoholic sober three years, a father of three who had epilepsy and mental health issues in the bargain. He’d had a grand mal seizure the day before and was suffering what, for him, were the typical disorienting after effects that usually lasted for days.

Man arrested in a bar for public intoxication

http://www.thesmokinggun.com

The 22-year-old Iowan was at the Sports Column watering hole early Saturday when a pair of Iowa City cops arrived to conduct a “bar check.” Officers then “made contact” with Corcoran, who “demonstrated poor coordination, repetitive speech and smelled strongly of an odor of an alcoholic beverage.” While estimating that he consumed a few beers over the previous three hours, Corcoran registered a .212 blood alcohol content when taking a post-arrest Breathalyzer test.

What is a good definition of a free society?

http://www.helium.com

To have a truly “free society” all interaction needs to be on a voluntary basis, this is also known as voluntaryism or voluntarism. Voluntaryism “is the philosophy which holds that all forms of human association should be voluntary. One of the moral principles frequently used to support this philosophy is the non-aggression principle, which prohibits the initiation of aggression or coercion”.....

Father kills man sexually abusing his daughter

http://www.cnn.com

A Texas father caught a man sexually assaulting his 4-year-old daughter and punched him in the head repeatedly, killing him, authorities said. The father was casually acquainted with the alleged abuser, said Lavaca County Sheriff Micah Harmon. Neither has been publicly identified. The girl was left inside the family's house during the social gathering, while other members of her family were tending to horses, the sheriff said. The alleged abuser was known for his horse-grooming abilities, Harmon said.

Police Handcuff Every Adult at Intersection in Search for Bank Robber

http://abcnews.go.com

"We didn’t have a description, didn’t know race or gender or anything, so a split-second decision was made to stop all the cars at that intersection, and search for the armed robber..." (Wow, "SPLIT SECOND").

Officers barricaded the area, halting 19 cars. “Most of the adults were handcuffed, then were told what was going on and were asked for permission to search the car,” Fania said. “They all granted permission, and once nothing was found in their cars, they were un-handcuffed.” The search lasted between an hour and a half and two hours.
