CU-Boulder students arrested on 4/20 to fight charges on First Amendment grounds. Peacefully exercising their right to assemble, and freedom of speech on the grass of their own public university; these three honest students were taken to county jail. The students pleaded not guilty, and plan to file motion to dismiss. It may, and will go to a jury trial if need be.

A preliminary finding by Seattle police is that the Aug. 30 fatal shooting of a homeless woodcarver by an officer isn't justified, The Seattle Times reported. A source confirmed to seattlepi.com that Ian Birk, the officer who fired the fatal shots, has surrendered his gun and badge.

The graffiti on the sign outside the Boulder County Justice Center has been there for four days, but only now have authorities caught onto the vandal's irony -- and they are not amused.

Using what appears to be stencils and white paint, someone added quotation marks around the word justice on the facility's main sign.

Police officer caught stopping Latinos and stealing their money from their wallets. He will get to spend a year in prison with some old acquaintances. I'm sure he is going to be the most popular guy there.
