Most universities have codes of conduct banning marijuana use, and they get millions of dollars in funding from the federal government, which still considers pot illegal. With the money comes a requirement for a drug-free campus, and the threat of expulsion for students using pot in the dorms.

A university in Canada requires students to purchase an art history textbook for $180, but to make matters worst, due to copyright claims, all photos were removed from the book, but the students are still required to purchase the books as a requirement for their class.

You are told that to make it in life, you must go to college. You work hard to get there. You or your parents drain savings or take out huge loans to pay for it all.

And you end up learning ... not much.

Chinemerem Eze, a Nigerian student at Brooklyn College, complained to her college about secret surveillance in December 2008, according to a lawsuit she’s filed in New York Supreme Court. Yes, there was indeed a camera in her bedroom.

She’s suing the security officers, psychologist, and the government-managed school for negligence. She’s already settled with the government-managed hospital.

Nice racket the State has going here, though. Hope her lawsuit goes well.
