Cop fired for inappropriate contact with student

A University of Kentucky police officer has been fired for inappropriate contact with a student after entering the student's dorm room. University policy allows a police officer to enter a room if he believes there is suspicious or illegal activity; however, the firing was based on inappropriate contact and had nothing to do with the officer's entry into the dorm room.

71 yr old woman stands her ground vs. home-intruding cops

Deputies say they knocked several times on Mapes’ front door and received no response. The front door was unlocked and Mapes’ car was in the garage, according to reports.

When Mapes confronted them with a gun the deputies started backing off. And after she started shooting the deputies said they “thought they were going to die,” according to the arrest report

Sheriff Mike Scott said last week the deputies were at Mapes’ home for “a little more than a welfare check.” The sheriff also defended the deputies for shooting the elderly woman.

PA Police Use Steelers Van to Serve Warrants

Pennsylvania Constables Hubie Coleman and Albert "Rocky" Younkin serve arrest warrants and take those individuals to district court but have an especially long stretch when it comes to the monthly night court. They noticed an issue with picking up the bad guys. They had a hard time getting them to open their doors so they can serve their warrants."One guy told us he wouldn't come outside because of our car," Coleman said of the constable car that resembles a police cruiser. "So Rocky and I were thinking to use a Steelers van."
