The FBI has been paying more attention to so called“sovereign citizen extremists" around the country out of concerns that they will react violently when they interact with government officials. FBI’s attention raises questions about why focus on this group as opposed to others, when only 18 were arrested in 2011 and 2010 and 10 in 2009 primary for white collar crimes.

Opposing taxation, supporting the gold-standard, and opposing regulations makes you an "extremist" according to the FBI.
"The extremists may refuse to pay taxes, defy government environmental regulations and believe the United States went bankrupt by going off the gold standard."
"Sovereign members often express particular outrage at tax collection, putting Internal Revenue Service employees at risk."

WASHINGTON - Hacker group Anonymous released a recording on Friday of what appears to be a conference call between the FBI and Scotland Yard held last month to discuss operations against the group.
The audio of the nearly 17-minute conference call was posted on YouTube along with an e-mail invitation from a Federal Bureau of Investigation agent setting up the call for January 17.
