Satellite fundraiser has launched - will you join the "headtalker" to help promote it?

June 23rd, 2016 - 9:39pm by FTL_Admin in

A few days ago, LRN.FM - The Liberty Radio Network kicked off its 2016 Satellite Fundraiser . This year we're hoping to expand our international Free-to-Air satellite coverage to include Europe, the Middle East, and North Africa. Our current satellite coverage includes North America, Central America, and Sub-Saharan Africa.

Last year, our first-ever fundraiser raised enough to keep our African satellite on-the-air. This year, the Indiegogo-based fundraiser is going to be promoted via a "headtalker" - a website that allows you to sign up to join in a social media blast to promote something. Sign up here via your preferred social media and then on Independence Day, July 4th the headtalker will post to your social media about our fundraiser. We've set a goal of 200 people - can you be one of them?

Obviously you can go...

Sorry for the blast of weekly emails

June 17th, 2016 - 2:27pm by FTL_Admin in

Due to an issue with our website, the last few "weekly" emails all arrived at once this week. Sorry for any frustration this may have caused. It appears that the bug has been cleared up - it also caused some of our AMP credit card payments to get charged later than were originally scheduled.

Speaking of AMP, if you aren't signed up as an AMPlifier yet, please take a moment and do so . Every day, thousands of people listen to our podcast and satellite channels and tens of thousands listen on the radio. Of them, only about three hundred generous folks AMP the show for as little as $5 per month. Would you consider becoming one of them ?

Our AMP program has been plateaued at just over $3,000 per month for years. With more funding, we could spread the ideas of liberty even further than now with more radio stations, satellite channels, and internet outreach. If everyone who receives this...

FTL is now accepting Ether!

June 10th, 2016 - 6:40pm by FTL_Admin in

Free Talk Live was likely the first radio show in the world to accept bitcoin for advertising as well as direct contributions from listeners. If you've been listening a while you know there are hundreds of alternatives to bitcoin on the market and while we can't accept them all, ShapeShift.io has made it super-easy for us to accept dozens of altcoins. Up until today, the ShapeShift app has been built right into our Bitcoin Tip Jar page and was set up to convert all altcoin contributions to bitcoin. As of now, that app is now converting to Ether, arguably the most exciting altcoin of the moment. If you just want to send Free Talk Live some Ether directly, please send it here: 0x0580A26c22005248bd234BC033Df9ea5CaB78cff

Here's the ShapeShift app that allows you to donate any altcoin and even bitcoin to Free Talk Live and have it converted to Ether. Of course, if you want to donate bitcoin...

Three of Four Medical Cannabis Dispensaries Are Now Open in NH

June 4th, 2016 - 3:30pm by FTL_Ian in

Patients have died while waiting for the state bureaucrats to finally allow the four legally-authorized medical cannabis dispensaries to open. Despite medical cannabis passing in 2012, bureaucrats dragged their feet on implementation until now, four years later the dispensaries are finally opening. So far there are locations in Plymouth , Dover , and Lebanon . Until the ultra-restrictive medical cannabis statutes are changed, the fourth facility still-to-open in Manchester will be the final one for the whole state.

Worse, apparently patients are assigned to a...

NH Liberty Party’s Freeman Files First for NH Governor, Democrat Race

Ian Freeman Launches 2nd Campaign for NH Governor

Ian Freeman Launches 2nd Campaign for NH Governor

Once again, I’m throwing my hat into the ring for the office of governor for New Hampshire in the democratic race. The first time I did so was in 2014 where I garnered second place and received more than 4% of the vote against then-incumbent Maggie Hassan in a campaign where I accepted no campaign contributions and spent approximately $2.50 on postage to reply to various candidate questionnaires.

My goal was to spread the...

Memorial Day Parade Canceled, Peace Contingent Shows Up Anyway

May 31st, 2016 - 11:15pm by FTL_Ian in

Now in its fifth year, the Memorial Day parade peace contingent once again made an appearance in Keene’s Central Square on Monday morning around the time when the yearly Memorial Day parade was scheduled to begin. However, no parade came. Though this prevented us from joining the parade as has been the tradition for several years, it didn’t stop us from getting the message of peace out to those who were on the road that morning.

As usual, we received many positive reactions including waves, friendly honks, and thumbs-ups. Of course, there were a couple nasty drive-by commenters, including one city employee who claimed “we wouldn’t be there if it weren’t for the military”, to which Rich Paul responded, “yeah, I’d still be in bed”. Plus one other guy drove by and rattled off the tired, old comment about the peace sign being the symbol for the American chicken.
