19 year old pregnant woman is accused of lying to the police and theft after being robbed and raped while working in a Cranberry, PA gas station. Officer Evanson orders illegal drug testing from her rape kit. Officer Evanson and Officer Meyer harass her at her home and eventually throw her in jail for 5 days. The abuse of power by the Venezuelan government under President Hugo Chavez has increased over the past four years, according to Human Rights Watch. Legislation limiting free speech and the removal of institutional safeguards give the government free rein to censor and intimidate critics, the group says. TAMPA, Fla. — Ron Paul supporters are unhappy that Republican National Convention organizers aren’t letting them throw a festival honoring the Texas congressman and presidential candidate the weekend before the gathering.
Spokesman Bryan Siemon said his group is organizing a three-day “PaulFest” at the Florida State Fairgrounds that would include music, comedians and speakers.
