MARYLAND GOVERNOR TAXES RAIN
Maryland Democratic Governor Martin O’Malley has instituted a tax on citizens for the amount of rain that falls on their property.
The tax, officially known as a "storm water management fee," will be enforced in nine of the state's counties. The state legislature passed it in 2012 purportedly to "raise revenue to cleanup [sic] the Chesapeake Bay," according to MarylandReporter.com.

Cameras in the courtroom would benefit court and public
Public demand for cameras in the court is well established. We have conducted a series of public opinion studies on the issue over the past few years and most recently found that 93 percent of likely voters say “the workings of the Supreme Court should be more open and transparent.” This sentiment spans Democrats, Republicans, and Independents alike. In addition, 58 percent of voters say there is “too little” news coverage of the Supreme Court.
Doublestar Will No Longer Sell Weapons to Law Enforcement in States Where Citizens Cannot Own the Same Weapons
