Here is the video of Mr. Derrick, a motorist tased by police from the Columbia Missouri police department after just 23 seconds! He was stopped for allegedly having no front license plate. He was tasered 23 seconds later. He asked why he was stopped - the policeman responded that he had no license (false - it was in the police officer's hand). The policeman signalled that he smelled marijuana (touched his nose - the other officer shook his head, indicating that he did not smell marijuana. Marvin Booker just wanted to get his shoes.
But deputies at the new Denver jail told him to stop. When Booker, who was being processed on a charge of possession of drug paraphernalia, didn't obey, he was held down, hit with electric shocks and then placed facedown in a holding cell, according to two inmates who watched it unfold.
Booker never got up. He was pronounced dead later that morning.Read more »
42 year old Kenneth Tomlinson of Fredricktown is facing 16 counts of statutory sodomy involving two juvenile boys who were also videotaped by Tomlinson according to investigators. Officials say Tomlinson later viewed the videos with the victims before destroying them. Tomlinson was named head of the Fredricktown department in April 2009 after serving as a patrol officer since 1997. He was also a scout leader for the local Boy Scouts of America in Fredricktown until his arrest in January 2010. His membership with the scouting organization was revoked when charges were filed.Read more »
