An older story came to my attn via moxnews fb post. The thing that jumped out at me was the Army's explanation that troops on U.S. soil could only be allowed their weapons on approval by Secty of Defense for defensive use & heavy weapons are incl in their arsenal. In light of recent news stories showing how police are exonerated because "I thought he had a gun" and newspeak like "pre-emptive defensive conflict" the "defensive use only" claim strikes me as untrustworthy. Today I was harassed and ticketed by the Metropolitan Transportation Authority police at the entrance to the Long Island Railroad portion of Penn Station on W. 34th St. for lawfully photographing armed soldiers and police. Please excuse the darkness of the majority of this piece of media as I had the video cam in my pocket to pick up audio which goes in and out at times but gives you an idea of some of that which was said by the officers and myself.
