Between May 18-20, 2013, an opinion poll was conducted under the joint direction of Anderson Robbins Research and Shaw & Company Research. 1,013 randomly-selected registered voters were surveyed.
68% said they feel like the federal government has gotten out of control and is threatening the basic civil liberties of Americans.
60% said the government went too far by secretly seizing telephone records of calls for A.P. reporters.
