Newest version of NDAA seeks to usurp the Supreme Court and impose an Internet sales tax! The Court previously ruled a retailer must have a physical presence in the state to be taxed. Bottom line... Think about it... What is the difference between mail order sales and Internet sales? Just the form the catalog takes. D'Amico explains that as of 2010 more than 1.6 million people were serving jail sentences in America. Professor D'Amico suggests that "prisons are not what we think about when we think of America, and they shouldn't have to be." Mark Denicore and his wife appeared in court in Loudoun County Monday morning for allegedly failing to get their three children to school on time. According to Loudoun County Public Schools, between one and 30 minutes late is tardy. The Denicore children have been tardy at least 30 times this year alone -- almost one out of every three days, according to Wayde Byard, of the school district. It falls under the state’s truancy code. The Denicores’ trial date is March 14. The violation is a Class 3 misdemeanor.Read more »
ELIZABETHTON, Tenn. -- The Elizabethton Police Department and a local mother are at odds over the safety of her ten-year-old daughter. The girl rides her bike to and from Harold McCormick School every day -- one mile each way. Investigators contacted Child Protective Services last week. They think the route is dangerous. The mother, Teresa Tryon, says she knows what's best for her child.Read more »
