Judging the man to be a homeless panhandler, a police officer asked him to leave, a confrontation ensued, a Taser was drawn, other officers were called and the man was taken down and handcuffed. The man cuffed and threatened with jail was neither homeless nor panhandling. He was a Purple Heart and multiple Bronze Star recipient. An Indian fisherman was killed and three people were wounded when a US navy ship fired at their boat off Dubai in the southern Gulf, a United Arab Emirates official said.
