I Can't Believe There's No Butter.

You'd think the world's self-proclaimed richest country, with an agricultural sector heavily regulated to secure Norwegian self-sufficiency of food, would never experience shortages. Wrong. Right now, we are experiencing a butter shortage in Norway. Dwindling milk production due to over-regulated farmers throwing in the towel and increased demand of fatty foods due to the low-carb dieting fad has lead to a butter shortage. The farmers, whose income consists of 70% subsidies from the government, and whose production is regulated by quotas, cannot produce enough milk to satisfy demands.

Friends angry over motorcyclist's death at speed trap

Many people call them "speed traps," cops call them "Speed Enforcement Details." Regardless, they're designed to save lives, but this weekend, a woman on a motorcycle was killed while being pulled over. "They were wearing helmets. They don't drink. They were out for a nice "Sunday cruise" and now Margie is gone," said the victim's friend, Nancie Risola. "Margie's not gone because they were going a little over the speed limit," Risola said. "She's gone because they were stopped in an unsafe place."
