A police sergeant in Santa Fe, New Mexico is in a bad situation after a video caught him masturbating while he was on duty. The video has recently been released and it was filmed by the dashboard camera of the officer’s cruiser. The video released to the media does not show the inside of the cruiser but has audio that is quite steamy. The officer in question is Sgt. Mike Eiskant.Read more »

Superintendent Jerry Payne confirmed a school resource officer did spray and said he did it to force students inside classrooms. Payne said the students took too long to get to class, so the officer pointed the spray toward the ground, not at students.Read more »

A teenager is arrested for wanting to protect his family. A neglectful mother was reported for endangering her 2 year old. When police decided to remove this child, her son distracted the officers allowing the mother to escape. We're not given details of the 'distraction', but I guess it was only a plea to not loose his sibling. He is being held at $2500 and faced with allegations that could cost $10K & TEN years in prison! The real reason, it seems, that the mother escaped was because she was allowed to get items for the child in her house on her own.Read more »

The City of Boston has agreed to pay Simon Glik $170,000 in damages and legal fees to settle a civil rights lawsuit. Glik was arrested in 2007 on Boston Common for using his cell phone to record the arrest of another man. Police then arrested Glik, too, and charged him under the strict Massachusetts wiretapping statute. They eventually dropped the charges, but with the help of the Massachusetts ACLU, Glik filed a civil lawsuit against the city for false arrest.Read more »
