Police records have raised the possibility that there is a legitimate grievance behind Dorner's homicidal vendetta against the LA police department.
Dorner, was sacked in 2008 for falsely claiming a colleague kicked a homeless suspect.
Dorner was a rookie police officer on 28 July 2007, when with a training officer, Teresa Evans, responded to a disturbance at the Doubletree Hotel in San Pedro.
They encountered a mentally ill man, Christopher Gettler. Evans tasered him after he threw a punch. Gettler was returned to his father and that seemed to be the end of the incident.
On Saturday, Police stopped Darrow once again at a DUI roadblock. Darrow's only recording tool was his cell phone which captured 50 seconds worth of the interaction before the phone was seized and Darrow ordered out of his car. Darrow complied, locking the door while his girlfriend waited in the passenger seat. Officer Lane then took the keys out of Darrow's pocket, entered the car without permission, and proceeded to move it down the street.Read more »
