San Bernardino County Sheriff's Deputies yesterday punished an "uncooperative" motorist by Tasing him to death. After 43-year-old Allen Kephart was pulled over for allegedly running a stop sign, he got out of his car and failed to show sufficient deference to at least two deputies. Video (via animated gif) of a police officer tackling a girl. Don't know if this is an actually occurrence or some sort of fictional (tv/video/etc) filming. If it is an actual case of police brutality it is very disturbing. Kind of just posting this to see if anyone has seen more about it and can pass on more info. Thanks.Read more »

The big question is: What are the details of why the cops were called in the first place? The big lesson is: Get out of private property if the owner requests you do so, and run if the cops are called.
This story comes via a "social media site for cops." The comments section is a trove of material for discussion. As I read through the posts, I couldn't help replaying in my mind how many times these cops say, "I'm just enforcing the law..." These comments give insight to how they really feel. You can see this in what some of them say about judges and their children as well as the law and how they believe it should be applied.Read more »
