Costumed vigilantie arrested in Seattle for breaking up a fight

The self-styled super hero ran in to break up a fight between a small group and a large group. He used pepper spray to fend off the fighters after he was attacked. He's been charged with four counts of assault.

Boston Police Arrest 100 Protesters in Dewey Square

Boston Police arrested about 100 protesters affiliated with the Occupy Boston movement in a swift raid on Dewey Square in the early morning hours on Tuesday.

The arrests were the culmination of a standoff between protesters and police after a weeklong protest in downtown Boston expanded into the northern part of Dewey Square. The protesters have permission to occupy the southern portion, but when they expanded into the northern part on Monday, Boston police decided to take action.

Occupy Des Moines: Dozens Arrested In Iowa, Including A 14-Year-Old

JPMorgan Chase donated an unprecedented $4.6 million to the New York City Police Foundation, in the form of 1,000 new patrol car laptops, security monitoring software in the NYPD’s main data center, other technology resources, and funding. The gift was the largest in the history of the foundation and will enable the New York City Police Department to strengthen security in the Big Apple.

Secret U.S. Gov’t Panel Can Place U.S. Citizens On ‘Kill List’

There is no public record of the operations or decisions of the panel, which is a subset of the White House’s National Security Council. Officials in a position to comment are saying that Awlaki is the only US citizen assassinated after being placed on a hit-list by this US government panel “to the best of their knowledge.” Note they are leaving themselves wiggle-room.

3) The definition of “combatant” has drifted to include inciteful speech.

5) Drones are being programed to detect dissent.
