New Hampshire Gov. John Lynch (D) on Thursday vetoed a bill that would have required voters to present a government-issued photo identification before casting a ballot.
“The right to vote is a fundamental right that is guaranteed to all citizens of this State under the United States and New Hampshire Constitutions,” he said. “Our election laws must be designed to encourage and facilitate voting by all eligible voters in New Hampshire.”Read more »

SCHENECTADY, N.Y. - The City of Schenectady and the Schenectady County Sheriff's department have announced they will issue SAFE CHILD photo ID's beginning Tuesday, July 5th at city pools in order to promote safety this summer.
SAFE CHILD cards will include the child's photograph, fingerprint images of both index fingers, as well as the child's name and biological information. Driver's licenses, a school issued ID, or a Department of Social Services Benefit Card will also be accepted.
