A St. Petersburg, FL police officer was speeding 21 MPH over the limit, hit an old man in a wheelchair. He killed the man and was fired. Now, if anyone else did that, they'd be put in a cage. After a year off the job, he was given his job back WITH the year of back pay while he off! What a bunch of crap!

A former LAPD officer was suspected early Thursday morning of shooting another officer to death overnight and wounding two others even as authorities hunted for him in connection with an earlier double-homicide, CBS News correspondent Bill Whitaker reports. Dorner said that in the course of an arrest, Evans kicked suspect Christopher Gettler, a schizophrenic with severe dementia.

Christopher Dorner, a LAPD officer who was fired for making "false statements" about a brutal police beating, has gone on a mission of revenge to take out all officers involved as well as their families. He has so far killed three officers as well as the daughter of another. There is a massive manhunt for him that resulted in the police shooting of two women who were delivering newspapers using a truck similar to the one owned by Officer Dorner. His manifesto describes heinous police corruption.

Sture Bergwall (a.k.a. Thomas Quick) confessed to several murders while drugged out of his mind by psychiatrists at a psychatric clinic. He was convicted of 8 murders without any technical evidence whatsoever. He was often led by interrogators to give "correct" answers about details in the murders so that he eventually got "close enough" for conviction. A sad story about the Swedish criminal justice system...

"A man paralysed from the neck down has lost his High Court case to allow doctors to end his life without fear of prosecution."

Even if you disagree with the idea of being assisted in taking ones own life, we should also realize that it is his own body, and no state or entity has the right to decide what he is allowed to do with his own body.
