NY: Disaster On Primary Day As Voting Machine Glitches Cause Chaos

Some polling places opened as much as four hours late and thousands may have been unable to cast ballots, reports CBS 2’s Marcia Kramer.

“That is a royal screw-up and it’s completely unacceptable,” Mayor Michael Bloomberg said.

Sources told CBS 2 that the list of problems was astonishing, including: broken machines, missing machines, missing emergency ballots and workers totally unprepared to assist voters and resolve technical glitches.

Long Island Man Arrested For Defending Home With AK-47

NEW YORK – The street below Danny Chen's window in lower Manhattan has changed over the last decade from a bustling four-lane thoroughfare to an empty road lined with police barricades.

To get home each day, Chen has to present his ID at a police checkpoint. When the officer lowers the metal gate into the ground to let him in, he drives through as quickly as he can. More than once, the barricade has risen too soon, lifting his wife's minivan into the air

Bernard Kerik – Former NYPD commissioner sentenced to 4 years

Bernard Kerik, the corrupt former NYPD commissioner, has been sentenced to 48 months in prison. The 54-year-old former top-cop had pleaded guilty back in November, and instead of getting the initial 33 month prison sentence recommendation that was made between Kerik and prosecutors, Judge Stephen Robinson decided he deserved a lot more than that, sending a clear, strong message to the general public that corruption will not be tolerated.

Don't show ID in New York State!

Justin Holmes was "pulled over" while inline skating and told that this activity was illegal under a local ordinance (untrue).

Its a long video but well worth the time. Justin maintains complete composure when faced with overwhelming odds and does what everyone who is bullied by armed thugs should do. Remain calm, remain respectful but stand your ground.

I'm not sure who Mr. Holmes is but if you were looking for a training video in how to conduct yourself with the ever increasing encroachment on your rights... here it is.
