SCHENECTADY, N.Y. - The City of Schenectady and the Schenectady County Sheriff's department have announced they will issue SAFE CHILD photo ID's beginning Tuesday, July 5th at city pools in order to promote safety this summer.
SAFE CHILD cards will include the child's photograph, fingerprint images of both index fingers, as well as the child's name and biological information. Driver's licenses, a school issued ID, or a Department of Social Services Benefit Card will also be accepted.
