A Denver woman claims she couldn’t board a flight from Wyoming to Denver because of her gender. She said she checked in and arrived at security about 35 minutes before the scheduled departure of her United flight. “They asked if I was on the flight to Denver, I said yes, they said that they couldn`t screen me because they sent all the female TSA agents home,” Winning said. A female agent was necessary because of the new security pat-downs. Winning missed her flight and wound up renting a car for $165 and driving the roughly 350 miles back to Denver.Read more »
Seven days a week you can find hundreds of people doing yoga on Venice Beach. There's no sign-up and no charge. Now Sarasota County officials say some regulation may be needed, and that's not sitting well with many of the yoga enthusiasts. Both county officials and Larsen met Tuesday morning. Afterwards, the county told ABC 7 they support yoga on the beach, however Larsen may soon start having to pay them at $13.50 per hour, which in return will guarantee her the space there.Read more »
Mark Denicore and his wife appeared in court in Loudoun County Monday morning for allegedly failing to get their three children to school on time. According to Loudoun County Public Schools, between one and 30 minutes late is tardy. The Denicore children have been tardy at least 30 times this year alone -- almost one out of every three days, according to Wayde Byard, of the school district. It falls under the state’s truancy code. The Denicores’ trial date is March 14. The violation is a Class 3 misdemeanor.Read more »

Caddo Parish District 3 Commissioner Michael Williams said after seeing a group of young men at a local Walmart wearing pajama pants that revealed one young man's private parts, he decided to push for an ordinance that would prohibit wearing pajama pants in public. "Pajamas are designed to be worn in the bedroom at night," Williams said. "If you can't (wear pajamas) at the Boardwalk or courthouse, why are you going to do it in a restaurant or in public? The New Zealand department which registers births, recently released a list of disallowed names from the past decade. While no names are banned outright, they can't be more than 100 characters long, use an unearned title or be offensive to the general public. They also have to be actual words, not numbers or symbols. Some of the rejected names: Justice, Princess, King, Bishop, Lucifer, Messiah, Christ, Mafia No Fear, Anal, V8, and the symbol *.
