Eric Dompierre loves sports, especially basketball. Eric never let his Down Syndrome stop him from playing but now he may have to cheer on his team from the bleachers. Its a battle between Eric's family and the Michigan High School Athletic Association with the latter claiming that because he's 19 years old, Eric isn't allowed to play in his senior year of high school.

Homeland Security Takes Down Live Streaming Sites before Super Bowl

This and other articles refer to takedowns of various sites that link to live streams of sporting events--not coincidentally, just before the Super Bowl. Many sites taken down aren't even in the United States, such as, and none of them actually host the streams. Rojadirecta, in Spain, has even been ruled completely legal by Spanish courts. Yet, the heavy-handed US government continues to push its weight around the globe.

Kelly replies to invoice with $439 refund

Seminary, an Oregon alumnus from the Portland area, attended the game in Boise. According to the Web site,, he was so unhappy with what he saw, he sent Ducks coach Chip Kelly an e-mail, with an attached invoice for $439 in travel expenses.
Sure enough, a check for $439, apparently signed by Kelly, arrived in Seminary's mailbox, according to the Web site. Seminary was so impressed by the gesture, he returned the check to Kelly with a thank-you note, rather than cashing it.
