DENVER -- A little-known Denver city ordinance resulted in a ticket for a man who had a "For Sale" sign in his car window.
Richard Mooney parked at a meter near 17th Avenue and Lincoln Street on April 18. He went inside a nearby credit union to finalize the private sale of his car. When he came back, he had a ticket for having a "For Sale" sign in a back window of his vehicle.
"That's a little sign, it was probably about six inches," said Mooney. "And it had been on there for a few months."
