Not to be outdone by their Missouri comrades, the Democrats in Minnesota have introduced their own gun confiscation bill, HF 241 (Minnesota was actually first I believe). This bill would basically outlaw anything other than a revolver, bolt action rifle, or musket with its all inclusive list of what constitutes an "assault weapon". California's computer problems, which have already cost taxpayers hundreds of millions of dollars, have mounted as state officials cut short work on a $208-million DMV technology overhaul that is only half done. A bill that could send women to prison for going topless in public appears headed for approval by the North Carolina legislature.
Depending if such exposure is judged to be "for the purpose of arousing or gratifying sexual desire," the woman could be charged with a felony, punishable by up to six months in prison for first-time offenders. More mundane exposure would be a misdemeanor meriting up to 30 days in jail.

DETROIT - Local 4 Defenders have learned that in Detroit in the last two weeks, nearly ten crimes have been reported involving men posing as police officers. The latest incident, Thursday morning, resulted in the shooting death of a 35-year-old woman and critical wounding of her 12-year-old sister. Those attackers remain at large.
